Methodology
Our methodology is based on:
A preliminary, broad and exhaustive study of the human microbiota to identify diseases that are likely to respond to treatment with probiotics that use this altered microbiota as a target.
The next step is to develop probiotics that are able to modulate this microbiota, improving patients' symptoms and consequently their quality of life.
We also use these data to develop biomarkers for early diagnosis of disease; these biomarkers can also be used to predict the response to treatment for a specific pathology based on such microbiota data.
